A wonderful surprise. Full disclosure: I clicked on this book by accident while looking at books on my kindle. But after I read the blurb I thought it sounded good and decided to buy it and give it a shot. I am so glad that I did. I loved it.

First our hero, Dash, is this wonderful combination of innocence and jaded. He is a service bot (service, as in "I will service ALL of your needs") who has spend the last 30 years sealed in a box after a succession of sadistic owners were finished with him. During that time the government has deemed all cyborgs defective and ordered their destruction. Iris is a treasure/trash hunter who spends her days crawling through abandoned buildings in search of interesting finds from the previous decades (centuries?). When she unseals his box she feels immediately sympathetic for his plight. Even though it is a death sentence to harbor a cyborg she doesn't care. Dash needs help and she's going to help him, she doesn't care that he is a cyborg. As far as she is concerned, he should have the same rights as any other sentient being.

I love that, while the physical attraction is nearly instant the emotional entanglements take time to grow. No insta-love here! It's just a really great story. You get the Cybrog Resistance, fun, awkward grumpy cyborgs and cruel government representatives all in one story. I do with some sections of the book had been expanded a bit, like the time the two are captive and I would have loved more everyday interactions with other cyborg rebellion members but really it was a great book. Especially for a first book. Great job.

Read this book if you are looking for a sweet love story, rainbow colored sizzling hot cyborgs with a side of Beanie Babies.

I love this book. I can't wait for the next one to come out. Fantastic Character Development for not only the H&h but also for supporting characters. The characters have so much depth. Reading about them makes you want to laugh with then and cry at their pain.
Just ran across this by chance and WOW! If this is Kelsey's first book she is amazing! The only sad thing about it is there isn't anything else by her to read yet.... Wonderfully developed characters and future world. The beginning of a great set of works. And can't wait to see what other worlds she may bring to us! Thank you! Write on!
I loved, loved, loved this book! Dash is a blue service cyborg that has been greatly abused. Iris is a human who is obsessed with hunting for junk that becomes her treasures. Finding Dash during one of her trips she takes him home but harboring a cyborg is a terrible offense and if caught it would mean her life. Can't wait to read more from this author.
What a ride! I loved this book. At times it was laugh out loud funny, some times poignant and sweet. While some of the description of how the cyborgs were created made me think in terms of androids rather than cyborgs, it didn't really hinder my enjoyment of the story and the relationship between the characters. The characters of Dash and Iris were so well drawn that I didn't notice that the world building was a little sketchy until someone mentioned it in a review. The world was developed enough that I could visualize it.

I definitely look forward to reading the next book in the series.
A new and wonderful take on cyborgs. I love the different types of cyborgs and the color classification. I loved Dash from the beginning. He was so easy to love and our h, Iris fell head over heels fast. Iris had such a big heart and an accepting nature. I can't wait to read about the others. I was a little disappointed about not getting an answer about how the bad guys got Aria, and then her not talking about it, but I guess I have to wait for Reaper 's, aka Great White, story. I also really wish we could have read about the rescue and get all the details that would bring, like how our H and h were found, the condition they were found in, the fighting, that sort of thing. But it was an enjoyable read.

I really loved this book. It was a fun, quick read, that gave me lots of feels.

Dash is set in the future and is about 478 DASH 942, "Dash", a service cyborg and 28 year old Iris. Dash is pretty much a sex bot, created to please his owner no matter how cruelly he is treated. Iris happened upon Dash in an old warehouse and released him from the box he was stored in, even though it was illegal to harbor cyborgs and the penalty is death.

This book was full of romance and excitement with a bit of mystery and suspense. I really enjoyed it from beginning to end.

This is the first book by this author and I am so excited to see what she comes out with next.
This Book!!!!! From this point on I will buy every book this author writes because she is amazing! I loved the characters in this book and feel like Iris and I could become besties! This book made me laugh out loud literally until people looked t me funny and yet could also make me tear up with its poignant moments. The evolution of Dash as he learns to trust and laugh and love is wonderfully written with so much heart behind the character. AND it doesn't end there. Secondary characters are also so well written that I can't wait until the next book comes out! If you love scifi, cyborgs, comedy, action, romance, and beanie babies....this book with knock your socks off! Get it...it is so worth it!
